Short Bio
“I Like Dat GoGo” is a melodic rhythmic feel good “banga” which merges DC GoGo music with the West Coast sound. It pays homage to the musical genius of T-Pain and Kehlani. And is Charis Jones’ debut as a producer and arranger.

Charis Jones is a native Washingtonian of the DMV, and an RnB Singer known for her world-renowned GoGo remixes, such as “Boo’d Up” GoGo Remix, “Like A Girl” GoGo Remix, and most recent, “I Like Dat GoGo” Remix.

“I Like Dat GoGo” is the first co-produced and arranged single by Charis Jones. It merges her DC GoGo music culture with the vibes of her new hometown, Los Angeles, CA. At age 35, she retired as a Special Education English Teacher after 5 years of service and moved cross-country to attend The LA College of Music on a full scholarship for vocal performance. While en route, she fell madly in love with the original ‘I Like Dat’ song by T-Pain and Kehlani; and wanted to find the best way to show her musical appreciation for their ingenuity and creativity.

This single is a powerhouse piece of musical work. So far, Charis has received some major stamps of approval and support, specifically from Atlanta based Grammy Award Rapper, Da Brat, Gospel Artist, Doobie Powell known for his extravagant harmonies and tone coloring, and legendary GoGo front line singer of the infamous Backyard Band, Anwar "Big G" Glover. This song is quickly acquiring international recognition as well. Although, the song's official release date is on 10.29.21; Presenter DJ Bully B broke the record in London, UK on the Essence of Soul Music Radio Show. She has also created a Tik Tok Dance Challenge that is picking up notoriety – #ILikeDatGoGoDanceChallenge. It is believed that this single might top the fan favorite, “Boo'd Up” GoGo Remix that was released in 2018, and has over 500,000 views on YouTube, and sustained urban radio rotation for over eight months and counting.

Credits for this song include - Thomas “Krankington” Beale as Co-Producer and Keyboardist, Jamil “Face” Johnson as Co-Producer, Engineer, and Mixer, and Jordan Chase Sr. as the guitarist, with all lead and background vocals sung and arranged by Charis Jones.
